A session with J discovering charcoal. The different types of charcoal. The light ones. Dark ones. Brittle ones. Compact ones. Charcoal drenched in water. Charcoal dragged along its side. Charcoal smudged with an eraser. Charcoal accompanied by white chalk. A blossoming friendship with the dusty but friendly Charcoal:)

He lives underneath your pride. He lives underneath the highway too.
He stop(ped) me and ask(ed) why I did what I did. A policeman caught me jaywalking. When he asked why I jaywalked, I regretted not replying him: "Because I didn't see you standing here." Instead I got all huffy-puffy when I knew he is just trying to do his job:/
I'm hanging up now. 'Cause the sun is setting. And 'cause the TV is playing True Detectives and I don't want to miss its awesome music and dialogues.
It's bright out today. It is supposed to be way brighter, but the scanner couldn't scan the neon paints. Boo!
I had so much fun with this. I think I will simply title it: "Fun fun fun".
Had a whole lot of fun using up unused-paint, painting with colours I don't normally use, like greens and blues.
Painted on paper scraps and unwanted drawings lying around the room:)

Meet father R's son, J:) J loves to draw. Here, I'm helping J learn how to draw a face. Catching the subtle contours of the human face, the shapes of our eyes, nose and mouth... etc, so different from one another.
Followed by a quick black acrylic painting session to practice the use of brush. How different amounts of water and changing our grip or pressure of the brush on paper can change the overall picture's tone and dynamic.
Father R is passing along his set of brushes (that he had owned since his 'A' level years!) to his son J. I'll be making sure J takes care of his new lovely set of brushes:)

Trying out some dioramas:)
The scene I wanted to recreate was an island with a building in the middle of it, with a father taking his sons out for fun and games.
The mistake was putting this honeycomb I found, inside the diorama.
Ants kept attacking the work. After a week of ants eating it, I had to throw the work out.
